Book online and take $25 off. Booking it yourself saves us the back-and-forth of a phone call, so we pass that back to you. The credit is applied to your bill on the day — it will be on the appointment before we arrive.
Nothing is due when you book. You pay when the work is done and it works.
What happens on the day
- We walk the house first. Every exterior door, so we both agree the real cylinder count before anything comes apart. Fewer than you booked and the price comes down.
- Everything is keyed alike. One key, every exterior door. No matching charge.
- Five keys cut and tested at your door — in the locks, before we leave.
- Every deadbolt checked for alignment and full throw into the frame. A deadbolt that only goes halfway in is not doing its job.
- Nothing is due until it works. Itemised receipt, before-and-after photos, card, tap or check.
What the price includes:
- The mobile service charge — we come to you, there is no separate trip fee on top
- Up to 6 cylinders rekeyed and keyed alike (a typical 3-door house)
- 5 keys cut and tested on site before we leave

- All hardware named in the package, supplied and installed
- Setup, pairing and a walkthrough on any smart hardware included in the package
What costs extra, and how much:
- Each cylinder beyond the sixth, when you have a working key — $55
- Each cylinder beyond the sixth with no working key — $100
- Any door needing a new bore (door and frame prep) — $100 per lock
- Keys beyond the 5 included — $5 each
- An additional smart deadbolt — $500 installed
- An additional Mul-T-Lock high-security deadbolt — $575 installed
- A garage door keypad added to Tier 1 or Tier 2 — $750 installed

Prices shown are in effect from August 2026 and remain in effect until updated on this page. Final price is confirmed with you before any work begins. A double-sided deadbolt (a keyhole on both sides instead of a thumb turn) is one lock but two cylinders, so it counts as two. The booking form asks about these on purpose.
Booked within 30 days of closing?
Your visit includes a home security walkthrough at no charge — every exterior door and entry point checked and rated, with the weak points named out loud. Not a report you will never read. A locksmith who walked your house and told you what is actually weak about it. Plus five extra keys, because a new house usually means more people needing one than you first think.
The Major Key guarantee
- 90 days on our labour, on every job. Rekeys, lockouts, door adjustments, installations — residential or commercial, the same number either way. If something we did comes loose, sticks, or stops working the way we left it, we come back and put it right at no charge.
- MK-line smart locks — 2 years on the lock itself. If an MK-1, MK-2 or MK-3 we supplied gives you trouble inside two years, we come out, replace the unit and fit the new one free — the visit and the fitting included. Not a manufacturer's call centre, not a returns form. Us. This is the one place we guarantee the hardware, because it is the one lock we chose.
- Other locks we supply — Mul-T-Lock, Kwikset, Schlage, Master Lock — carry their manufacturer's warranty on the hardware, and we file that claim for you rather than handing you a phone number. Our labour on them is the 90-day baseline above.
- What none of it covers: damage, forced entry, or a lock that was sound when we left and has been attacked since.
